Pretty Girls

More than a film about prostitution in China, "Pretty Girls" is an intimate portrait of two young women, struggling to support their families.

Poverty drove Aifeng and Xiaoxue to work at a Beijing massage parlour, that also doubles as a brothel. Only a glass front separates the women from public view, and the unforgiving eyes of passers-by.

Pretty Girls takes you on a journey inside a Beijing massage parlour, and shows China's rapid development through the eyes of those left behind.
